To get breath-taking views of Estepona and beyond, you can hike in Natural Park Los Reales de Sierra Bermeja. It’s a long name, right? It’s an amazing hiking area. This beautiful forest and the mountainous area has lots of easy footpaths all around and wonderful fauna to discover. You can find it just an hour’s drive away from Estepona. The only way to get here is by car – well, you can cycle up there, but we don’t recommend it. The average height of this park is 1,000m with the highest point being 1,450. So, spectacular views guaranteed.
When you are in Estepona you can’t skip on their excellent gastronomy. One of the most famous dishes to eat in the coastal areas is Paella, which is a classic Spanish rice dish. It’s made with vegetables, chicken, rice, saffron, and seafood cooked and served in one pan. It has an intense flavour as it uniquely doubles or even triples volume within sticking or opening during cooking. You will get a little taste of the ocean as well thanks to the seafood inside.
